As a national and regional award winner, Tom has illustrated and co-authored The Opera House Sketch Book and has been published in Splash III by Northlight Books, the Chicago Tribune, the Victorian Sampler magazine, Artists of Illinois, the Best of Watercolor I and the Best of Watercolor II by Rockport Publishers, and Portrait Inspirations. He has appeared twice as a guest on Artists to Artists (Cable TV) and was featured in the Artists magazine in 2000.

With teaching being an important part of artistic expression, Tom's weekly enthusiastic painting classes and yearly excursions to Europe have provided for an exchange of ways of seeing, self-growth, and some really positive paintings.
